Favorite Subject

My favorite subject was * drumroll *… critical theory. At the beginning I did not know what it was about, but with the passage of time I realized that it was very interesting –and I want to let you know that I write in past tense because we finished the subject and hopefully I will not do the exam- .

In classes we talked about main ideas and postulates by authors like Marx, Gramsci and Walter Benjamin. We compared what they said with what happens actually and we realized that in many cases they were right, or at least that is our opinion.

After that, we made two essays and two tests, applying that we learnt, and one of those essays was a group work and that specifically was so interesting and at the same time stressful, because we debated about the analysis but we wrote it fast because we had others things to do for the university.  

It was my favorite subject because it surprised me, I thought it would be the same as others ones that I didn’t like much, but I learnt a lot of those authors that I knew before just by the name.
