Michel Gondry

Michel Gondry is a french independent film and videoclip director, producer and screenwriter, well known for his movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', which won an Oscar for best original screenplay. He started his career making music videos for his own band called 'Oui-Oui', until the singer Björk watched his videos and called him to work together. Since then, he has been directing a lot of music videos, working with bands like The Chemical Brothers, Rolling Stones, Metronomy, The White Stripes, etc.


I knew his work thanks to music videos, because one day, I watched so many videoclips with my brother and I wanted to know who directed them, so I searched on internet and noticed that all of them were directed by him! That's how he transformed in one of my biggest inspiration. 

I believe that discover his work, allowed me to decided what I wanted to study, and here I am. Since I watched his work and all the behind the scenes that he made, I understood that in the cinema, there's much work behind that we see in the screen, so thanks Michel Gondry!
